TIME TO FLIPPED A GRAMMAR LESSON!
This week we are continuing with "flipped classroom" with a different concept. This week's topic is about creating a grammar-based flipped classroom video.
Thanks to this instructional strategy, both grammar teaching and learning are easier and effective. Rather than explain the boring rules in the classroom without practicing them because of the restricted time, using such tools which appeal to different intelligent types. Such videos are being used to prepare students for what they will learn in the upcoming class. All aside flipped classroom is a great idea for gaining self-discipline. However, unfortunately, this concept cannot be used sometimes because of the socio-economic background, limited internet access, or lack of technological devices of the students.
I want to tell you what we have done during the whole week with my partner Rıdvan Burak Öztürk. We create a video about what are adverbs of frequency by sticking to the book which we use as an intensive tool.

Because learning is something cumulative, to create such kind of video we considered the necessary alignment to provide the best understanding of the students. First, we start with form focus and then we go with the practice part. Giving various examples about the term what you are talking about and supporting them with colorful pictures are among the most important key elements of a successive flipped classroom video. By the way please don't forget to prepare a handout or an online activity for the students to help their comprehension. Thanks to it they can see even they learn the topic or not. Also, they can ask where they didn't understand and you can explain it to them on an example more easily.
